Best Snacks for a Day at Beach Camp (Easy, Healthy & Kid-Approved)

A day at beach camp will work up an appetite for any kid! Halfway through each morning or afternoon session, counselors bring the group together for a snack break, giving kids a chance to refuel, rehydrate, and share a little extra laughter before diving back into surfing, paddleboarding, and beach games on Lake Michigan.

And a fun bonus: Friday is our optional “Party Friday,” where kids can bring snacks to share with the group. These aren’t always healthy, but they’re a highlight of the week and lots of fun!

Pro Tips for Parents

  • Choose snacks that are peanut-free and easy to eat
  • Label all food containers
  • Pack snacks in small, easy portions
  • Use an insulated lunch bag with ice packs
  • Avoid anything messy, sticky, or that requires a lot of prep
