Developed by Great Lakes surfers in 2005, Third Coast Beach Camps have helped more than 6,000 kids discover the joy of being outdoors. As one of West Michigan’s most trusted outdoor adventure camps and with Lake Michigan as our backdrop, we create a safe, playful environment where kids can soak up sunshine, build friendships, and learn through hands-on experiences.

Meet Our Third Coast Camp Team
Our counselors aren’t just awesome — they’re legendary. Many grew up right here as campers themselves, and now they’re back to spread the sunshine and keep the beach-day magic going.
They’ve got tons of kid experience (think babysitting, teaching, coaching, and being everyone’s favorite older cousin).
Each Third Coast Camp Team member is trained in CPR and water safety, so while kids are chasing waves and building epic sand castles, you can relax knowing they’re in safe, joyful hands. They’re energetic, creative, and always ready with a goofy joke or a high-five — basically the dream team of summer fun.

Meet Ryan & Erin
Ryan has been surfing Lake Michigan for over 25 years (yes — 25 years of freshwater waves!). Back in 2005, he opened his first retail surf shop to share his love of being on the water. Over time, he and Erin shifted their focus to what they love most: providing active outdoor experiences that bring joy to people’s lives. When they’re not running kids camp or their Third Coast Paddling kayak & paddleboard rentals, you’ll usually find them surfing, traveling, or snowboarding with their two adventure-loving sons. Their boys grew up at beach camp and may even be part of your next session. Ryan and Erin bring the heart, the stoke, and the big beach energy — helping every kid build confidence, have fun, and fall in love with the water just like they did.
